Jessica Birks
Waggle Dance Co. Founder & Creative Director
I'm Jessica Birks, the Founder and Creative Director of Waggle Dance Co., which was established in 2020. I'm a dance artist and choreographer, and I've been dancing for as long as I can remember. I truly believe that movement is medicine. Born and bred in Manchester my training started in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz at the age of four. My journey led me to study Foundation Dance at LIPA and full-time Musical Theatre at Bodyworks Company Cambridge. With over a decade of experience in the performing arts industry, I've had the joy of teaching thousands of people across a wide range of dance styles, from ages 3 to 60+.
I started Waggle Dance Co. to share my knowledge, inspire young artists on their theatrical journeys, and collaborate with dancers, composers, and facilitators to create original works. For me, dance is about so much more than steps—it's about encouraging self-expression, building confidence, and offering a creative outlet that supports both physical and mental well-being. The name Waggle Dance is inspired by the unique way bees communicate, and I see our participants in the same way—each dancer is unique, with their own voice and movement to share. My aim is to create dynamic, interactive experiences that inspire children and young people to move, express themselves, and grow into healthier, happier, and more confident individuals through dance.

Issy Pardoe
Waggle Workshop Facilitator
Hi, I'm Issy and I am a waggle dance workshop facilitator. I trained in musical theatre at The Brit school abd then went on to study musical theatre/dance at Performers college in Essex. I have performed in shows around the country as well as abroad. I have worked with children of all ages for over 10 years. My favourite thing is seeing growth, improvement and love creating smiles! As well as Performing my passion is teaching and creating for the next generation. I am an experienced and dynamic teacher, teaching all different styles of dance.
I first met Jess long before the creation of Waggle dance. Since being a part of Waggle I have facilitated multiple workshops at festivals across the country. I absolutely love the energy Jess and I have when working together and how engaged all the children are. I am excited for the years to come working as a waggle dancer and creating lots of smiles through movement.
Danielle Antonietta
Waggle Workshop Facilitator
Hello! I'm Danielle, a London-based performer originally from Washington, DC. My work spans theatre, film, and drama education, and I'm passionate about empowering children through play, movement, and storytelling.
I've trained with All-In Actors and ReWork Creative in Dance Performance, and I grew up as a classic American competitive cheerleader—so I love bringing energy, enthusiasm, and plenty of moves to every session. In my past life, I was an English teacher and am a certified yoga instructor — so inclusivity and accessibility are my specialty.
I first found Waggle Dance while working with Jess, our founder, and was inspired by her dedication to self-expression and storytelling through movement for all ages. Dance has been a vital part of my own life, and I'm thrilled to share them with everyone in our sessions!
Taldwyn Moreton
Social Media Manager
Hi there, my name is Taldwyn and I'm a Liverpool based social media manager and digital marketing consultant. As a child I did dance, but despite my dancing shoes being retired, I still have a great passion for the creative arts.
I believe that creative arts are incredibly important for children's wellbeing and that it plays a huge part in how they express themselves when they become adults.
Ensuring that children are able to express themselves creatively as well as exercise in a fun manner helps in so many ways. That's why working for Waggle Dance Co. is personally an incredible achievement as I get to help spread the message that fun, creative storytelling is available here at WDC.
