Is Easter over already? The Spring term for Waggle Dance Co has flown by! We are excited to be coming back from our spring break after having some holiday rest. It’s been lovely to see the Spring flowers coming up, green shoots and all of the blossom blooming at Ally Pally!

We have been taking Inspiration from nature walks around North London especially at the water garden at Trent Park!

There has been a lot of things keeping us busy in the background such as;

• Creative rework courses funded by The Mayor of London
• Extending our festival programme offerings
• Networking - thanks to Dance, Learning and Participation Network Applying for DBACE (The Deutsche Bank Award for Creative Entrepreneurs) Continuing professional development in Dance Leadership for myself

World Bee Day

With World Bee Day nearing we would like to announce our partnership with National Lottery Heritage.

World Bee Day is celebrated on May 20. On this day Anton Janša, the pioneer of beekeeping, was baptized in 1734. The purpose of the international day is to acknowledge the role of bees and other pollinators for the ecosystem.

So to celebrate the bees on Saturday 17th May 2025
we will be running Creative Dance workshops
for energetic young people aged 3 - 12 years old.

2 x 45 Minute session with Dance Specialist from Waggle Dance Co.

As part of our Unlocking Broomfield heritage events and for World Bee Day, come and join Jess and friends from Waggle Dance Co. and have some fun in the Park at a creative dance workshop and learn the waggle dance, on Saturday 17th May 2025.

Bees have an important role to play as key pollinators and Broomfield Park has its own beehives. Learn why bees are synonymous with the Historic Broomfield House. Some crafts will also be available by Zoe from Zinfinity such as - A Pom-Pom Flower, Badge Making and Bee Deely Boppers!

Morning Workshop 1 with Jess & Issy 11:30am - 12:15pm
Afternoon Workshop 2 with Jess & Danielle 1:30pm - 2:15pm
There will be a lunch break 12:30pm -1:15pm

Our team of facilitators are DBS checked. Parents/guardians/carers would need to be supervising at all times during our 45 min class to accompany their children.
